Re: Misplayed this one I think
Yeah I didn't notice that the sample size is tiny. I'm real borderline about fold/call with this one now preflop. Your postflop line is real easy though.

Re: Misplayed this one I think
I'm probably folding to the 3 bet preflop and making a note to see if it's a normal thing.

Re: Misplayed this one I think
Grunch:
Preflop: I fold this. 25 hands is just not enough for a solid read, and even with that he is 3-betting us here (not just raising), so unless I specifically know that he has a wide range for his 3-betting I drop this - we are setting ourselves up for some really nasty decisions post flop if we hit our ace. Flop: Yay! and Ugh! You are either way ahead of QQ/JJ/TT or way behind AA/KK/AK. I try to get to the river as cheaply as possible, especially since any type of significant raise here pot commits me (I do not like min raising ever). So I think that we can call here and fold to a significant turn bet. |

[ QUOTE ]
Calling in position is perfectly fine against this guy. You're now in a WA/WB situation, really can't fold your hand (he cbets a whole lot worse, 4 combos of AK and one each of AA, KK) I call, intending to call down or to check behind on a blank turn and then valubet the river (against JJ-QQ, Ax) if checked to again. [/ QUOTE ] WA/WB? Define? |

Re: Misplayed this one I think
WA/WB means way ahead or way behind. Basically in this spot he's either [censored] by AK-KQ, KK, AA and has no chance of catching up, or is killing everything else and only has to dodge like 2 outs tops. In these situations general wisdom is to c/c down, maintain pot control and don't scare off the hands you're killing.

Re: Misplayed this one I think
I think I fold preflop in this situation
But as played, call the flop and see what he does on the turn. If he had QQ/JJ and was 3 betting preflop, this type of flop would be a good spot to cbet. If you call, hes got to think that you hit a piece of that flop and I think theres a big chance that he checks turn unimproved. |
