Re: 400NL - villain takes a monster line, call anyways?
I wonder if a person with those stats even realizes his flopped top 2 were counterfitted.

[ QUOTE ] im not folding this river ever. [/ QUOTE ] Elaborate please. [/ QUOTE ] 9T missed, now we beat 78, he could have a good 8 and think its the nuts let alone 99, he could have nothing at all and the only hand that really improves here is 56. the guy is 40/6/3, hes a bluff tard, calling two streets and folding on one of the best conceivable rivers is definitely going to be a hgue leak. |

If you are beat I think he has QQ-AA btw, since that's how these people roll.

hes a bluff tard [/ QUOTE ] What? [ QUOTE ] he's generally been playing straightforward and somewhat passive. [/ QUOTE ] Edit: I'm calling this down vs a lot of players, but given this description I think it's a fold. |

Xorbie, villain runs 41/6/1.3. Does that change anything for you?
BTW I'm not sure if I agree with this: [ QUOTE ] calling two streets and folding on one of the best conceivable rivers is definitely going to be a hgue leak. [/ QUOTE ] |

[ QUOTE ]
Against this villain I'd call, as people with those stats like to bluff their missed draws, I've found. [/ QUOTE ] But I don't think they raise their draws much or at all to begin with. |

[/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] 1.3 is still a somewhat high aggro factor for a 41 VPIP guy who is probably calling a ton of hands and thus raising a bunch as well. once he starts betting what makes you think he's going to stop? what on the board do you think would make him worried that what hand he thought was good don the flop is now not good? the absolute strength of our hand has only gone up, so to fold after putting in so much money... yes it is a leak. |

Re: 400NL - villain takes a monster line, call anyways?
I am absolutely with xorbie.
Imo you made your desicion to call a river bet on the turn. He won`t check his missed draw behind and also bet his sets again. The only hand you beat, which he vbets is 78. I think fold turn is best, but leading turn is best i think. |

Re: 400NL - villain takes a monster line, call anyways?
Yea I'm calling here and feeling good about this. I tend to find, guys with stats like that typically STRONGLY overvalue top pair type hands and also run stupid bluffs despite their low agg factor. He could very well have decided the 5 is a great 'bluff card'. Guys with stats like that don't think very much..
As Xorbie said, the river is also basically the best card in the deck for you short of a ten. Can't possibly fold there. -Andy |
