Re: i let him take control, then a bad card comes
[ QUOTE ]
mason, in my experience 37 vpip doesn't mean aggressive. all that means is he plays a lot of hands. 37/11/2 is pretty passive actually; these players are known as the "calling station." this is why a flop raise isn't bad, because they call with tons of crap. i could be swayed that a call is better than a raise on the flop, but you're not going to convince me that it's "soooooo bad." [/ QUOTE ] for a vpip =37, an af of 2 is not passive, so i don't see this guy as being a station at all. so unless he's going to go crazy and bluff shove b/c you've raised such a dry board, i don't see much value in raising, esp since we have a so-so kicker. |

i always thought af of 2 was average and over that becomes really aggro. the 11 pfr is what makes me think he's passive.

[/ QUOTE ] i assume you're referring to the sticky on pt. for any player the pfr:vpip indicates their pf aggression, but their post flop af has to be evaluated w/respect to their vpip. if i play twice as many hands as you, but we have the same af, it's pretty easy to see that i'm the more aggressive player. |
