Just graduated Poli Sci from Wake. Got a lot better at writing and thinking critically. I'll echo what everyone else has already said.

If you don't find the stuff interesting, don't do it, but you can say that with every major, but this one especially.

I am just starting law school now. I have a friend that does political research, though she already has a Masters. Sorry I cannot be of better help.

Don't stress about your major, most of my friends have changed their major at least once. It's a lot easier to figure out once you actually get to college and figure out what you like.
