Re: 11t - Shoving PF w/ AKs First Hand
i dont like it, you wont get paid off by any hand you beat hard(maybe some donktard with AQ would), so iīd prefer to raise it potstyle...
btw: AK is really the only hand you should consider this line with, even then its not the maximum expectation play--- |

Re: 11t - Shoving PF w/ AKs First Hand
if you raise to t200 and then completly miss the flop you can still get away and be in the sng and if your solid have a good chance of making the money. as one poster said you make your money on the bubble not racing first hand, although it can be good to mix plays up a little bit. the only other hand i think would call and you would have crushed is aq, a lot of the time you will be up against a pp

If there's a high chance one of them will call, shoving AA preflop is a great move here - not the most +EV move on average over all tables, but hugely +EV compared to a raise at some. Thread consensus seems good to me: raise it in position and play some poker post-flop. |

Re: 11t - Shoving PF w/ AKs First Hand
I do this sometimes (like 20%) but I prefer raising to 180-250 and hopefully get HU at worst case.

Re: 11t - Shoving PF w/ AKs First Hand
Just remember, there is no need to mix it up here at this buyin level. If you are shoving like 20%, it should be because you are lazy and this is +EV or you think it is the best move, not to "mix it up". And laziness shouldn't be a reason to do anything, but I'm trying to be realistic... tv, too many tables, etc...

Re: 11t - Shoving PF w/ AKs First Hand
I could never see my self pushing in this spot.
like others have said raise to t200, and decide from there. I would also go easy on the c-bets if miss. Players at this lever gamble so much in the first few hands it seems. If you flop an A or K then lead into them. No reason to get cute and try to slow play TPTK after you build this big of a pot pre. |

If you (not you, a hypothetical you) play so badly post-flop that this isn't true, then you should be in push-fold mode from the getgo. |

Donīt is spew this raise?
I think a lot times you will lose this raise+cbet, and rarelly the pot will be hu. In this spot, i prefer limp behind than raise.Coments? |
