Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
Mother: Apolitical
Father: HUGE Republican. Like he is in that 25% that supports Bush. I think he would vote for any Republican. He also thinks if a democrat wins we will have terrorist attacks every single week. |

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
My parents voted for Nixon in 1960, Goldwater in 1964 ...
I have a brother and a sister. My brother is a leftist. My sister is apolitical. |

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
Both of my parents would probably show up on the libertarian quadrant of the political axis, and my grandparents still have Goldwater in '64 signs in their house. The apple does not fall far from the tree.

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
My father voted for Bush twice. He says he wouldn't do it agian, but I don't understand why he did it the first two times. (I voted for Harry Browne in 2000, and stoped voting after that)

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
Father: As close to a communist as I've met. He's an immigrant from Greece and lived there back during the civil war. His family was split between communists and capitalists, and I guess his immediate family was on the communist side. He's a socialist now though. Just found out about all this history in the past few months :P
Mother: Liberal, the kind that is liberal without really knowing anything, and just spouts the ridiculous conspiracy theories that you see some people on this forum writing about. That said, they voted for Clinton both times, I know my dad voted for Bush in 2000, and I think they both voted for Kerry in 2004. Given their political standings and voting histories I'd call them both Democrats. |

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
Mom: Left-leaning moderate. Hates Bush, but I've never seen her real enthusiastic about anyone, or party for that matter.
Dad: He's voted a straight Republican ticket since he started voting in the mid-70s (right after Nixon, rofl). Since the Christian right took over the party during Clinton, he's gotten even crazier/more irrational. I pretty much can't think of one issue that we agree on. Me: Apathetic hippie. That's the best way to describe me. I believe in universal health care, I'm a huge free-speech freak, very anti-Iraq war and pro-legalization (drugs, prostitution, gambling). I'm pro-choice, anti-death penalty (I love repeating this to my dad), and am content with gun control laws. I love red meat, non-PC jokes, and long walks on the beach. PS: My grandfather, whom I'm very close to, is just as liberal as me, but just as crazy as my dad. I love it when they talk politics, it's like watching a car crash. |

Re: What political opinion did/do youre parents have?
My mom is apolitical. My dad is basically a democrat. I'm a weird brand of socialist that doesn't play nice with other socialists.
