Get the Pro. That way you can use a splitter for coax and also connect to the cable box. If the box is being used, you can use the coax, but if the box is free, you can access premium channels or the DVR.

Slingbox Update:

The Pro with the HD connector arrived at my dad's house and we set it up yesterday. Other than the problems of trying to help him without being in the same room, it was very easy to set up.

I watched last night's Mets/Phillies game. On my laptop (14" iBook) the quality was pretty good. Then I hooked it up to my 50" plasma. Obviously, the picture wasn't great, but from the couch, it was very watchable.

Overall, I would highly recommend getting one. Out of town sports will make me much happier about not living in NY.
