However, this is a $6, so you can't assume that he knows anything of the sort and a push will have more FE because it costs him more chips to see a flop. More importantly, you don't have enough chips to play the hand if you raise (-> push preflop), and you won't have enough chips left to get a fold on the flop even if he missed (-> push preflop). Pushing seems like the thing to do here, no way you're going to outplay him postflop here so a push is pretty much the same as a raise except that it might get him off of more hands, which is good considering how large the blinds are. Just take down the 1k in chips as quickly as possible. |
