[ QUOTE ] is calling the turn raise standard? [/ QUOTE ] probably for op, and he'll bluff the river a lot when he misses [/ QUOTE ] given the action, there aren't many cards on the river that will be profitable to bluff. also, if we feel like he's capable of folding a big hand, it makes no sense for us to think we're gonna get paid off if we hit our flush. |

Re: Im back, time for a bluff
1. any card that pairs the board or any diamond -- that's 20 outs, no? to clarify, i am very confident about putting the villain squarely on a five here.
2. fair point, sir |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] this is so terrible if they're at all decent, they know you never have better than a straight after you check flop if they're terrible they're never folding a straight this is such incredibly terrible spew [/ QUOTE ] i would check this flop with sets/nuts/combo draws, so bad assumption [/ QUOTE ] trade one leak for another then [/ QUOTE ] you think checking this flop is a leak? joke? [/ QUOTE ] mea culpa thought this was us raising oop pf and then trying to c/r from like MP vs button |

Re: Im back, time for a bluff
3b the turn is way way better. repping a boat is so meh.
i doubt he folds a 5 on the river even on the scariest of scare cards so i'd rather just put it in on the turn. our fold equity should be the same and our equity versus 5x is (obviously) higher. he probably folded not because this was some genius play but because he had nothing anyway. |

Re: Im back, time for a bluff
obviously nobody folds 5x on the turn because of 85 or freeroll possibilities (one or two, depending on what 5 he has).
i think the real crux of this is that most hands containing a 5 bet the flop...so i don't buy that he has one |
