[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] How much chili are you required to put on each one? Or are you buying them premade somewhere? [/ QUOTE ] Pre-made from a restaurant... http://www.rockfordcornerbar.com/ [/ QUOTE ] one strategy could be to go there the day before and explain your prop bet and give them $20 to go a bit lighter on the chili when your dog is ordered. Just enough to help you out but not so much less that it's obvious to those betting against you. This is assuming you are sitting there in the restaurant when this prop is taking place. Of course, if they go there the day before and pay the guy $40 to put EXTRA chili on each of the dogs then this would kind of hurt that plan. Let the bidding war begin!! [/ QUOTE ] Not gonna work. Looking at their menu, they have a 12 hot dog in 4 hours contest to join their Hot Dog Hall of Fame. 20 and you get them for free and a t shirt. So no bribery. Good luck man, try not to hit anyone with your vomit. |

[ QUOTE ]
1) Eat the 20 hotdogs. 2) Rest a bit, then scoop up the chili, and eat it all. 3) Eat a billion antacids. 4) Eat the bread while drinking plenty of water. The trick is to separate the tasks. 20 hotdogs looks really small. So does 20 small piles of chili. 20 breads is just a bit more than a large loaf of bread. [/ QUOTE ] This is genius. Eat the 20 hot dogs w/ mustard realy quick, and than eat the bowl of chilli later on. |

Chili dogs are exempt from the commutative property? Controversial.
In other news, I tried to eat a bunch of goldfish crackers really fast the other night. Goddam is that harder than it sounds. |

[/ QUOTE ] Personally I think so, the hardest part about it, is constantly downing chilli, it is a strong food, and eating a bunch over a long period of time, is a lot harder than eating a bunch in a short period of time..imo. Plus the beans are in your system for a lot shorter time, during that 4 hour period so you arent one big gaseous blob. |

garcia,
not just a skillful comic. I think he's right on about this. OP, just make sure not to tell your friends about that plan, they might try to wiggle out of it. |

Since you have 4 hours, you have a chance. Dont speed thru any of em, as you have time on your side. But do stay ahead of the pace. If I were doing this, I would shoot for a minimum of 8 but preferably 10 dogs in the first hour. If you hit 10, you are halfway home with 3 hours to go. I would take a bit of time after one hour to digest a bit, and try for about 4 or 5 in the second hour. Hopefully you are way ahead by the end of 2-1/2 hours, and can coast on the final few dogs.

I'm on the wall of fame there. I did the 12 chili dogs about five years ago. I don't remember them having a 20 chili dog goal back then. I thought it was 12 in two hours and they were free. They probably upped it to 20 because there are way too many fatties out there who were eating their 12 free chili dogs three days a week.
I was ~6'7" 280 at the time and 12 dogs was damned near impossible for me. I was queasy for about eight hours afterward. There's no way in hell I could have done twenty. Good luck. |
