Re: how to protect this hand ?
[ QUOTE ]
Checking this flop isn't terrible. Against 5 opponents it's pretty safe to assume someone will find a reason to bet. The real reason to lead out is that you get to bet/3bet instead of c/r'ing and getting flat called. [/ QUOTE ] QFT Also, what are you trying to to protect against?? you flopped a monster |

Re: how to protect this hand ?
i think i would have bet the flop, mostly because it would stink to have this checked through and give the flush drawer(s) a free card. i also lead the turn and river (as you did).

Re: how to protect this hand ?
I too would bet here for the same resaons that hs been given. But another thing struck me that might be totally irrelevant to you. If you are trying to learn limit holdem, PS 1/2 might not be the best place to start. That could cost you quite a bit.

Re: how to protect this hand ?
No they're not bad. I was mainly referring to the limit. 1/2 is pretty darn high to start out at. 0.25/0.5 or even below that would be more reasonable. You will get crushed at 1/2 if you're a beginner.
