Re: What would you do if this happened???
So far, no one has offered an answer that would actually spell out the rules of the game we all call poker.
Each and every player is responsible for his/her own hand. When a hand gets prematurely exposed, regardless who is doing the act of exposing, the exposed hand becomes a dead hand. It is generally considered the player's fault, when he allows someone else to expose his/her hand, because he was not properly protecting his/her hand. So, the rule is. You expose his hand, his hand is dead, the other player gets the pot. |

The full rule is as follows: You expose his hand, his hand is dead, the other player gets the pot, you get your ass kicked hard, you bleed, you learn not to be a moron in the future. |

Wait, what?
Exposing a hand does not kill it. |

Re: What would you do if this happened???
Appreciate all the feedback guys!
-First of all what is KITN and IWTSTH? [ QUOTE ] HUGE KITN for you, btw- "mainly my fault" my ass. Who ELSE was at fault, here? Just because your friend try to stupidly invoke IWTSTH? [/ QUOTE ] Well everyone is a little at fault because we all sorta 'peek' at eachothers cards during hands and if we did have some rule saying no contact with other hands this would never have come up. Also the AK guy the way he acted after the bet (saying "ugh/crap/maaaan") seemed like he was thinking of folding or calling the minute the bet was made.....I definitely learned never to assume because it can make an ASS out of U and ME. I really like the rule proposed where a touched hand is 10% of your stack, and a revealed hand (what i did) is 50% of your stack. |

Kick in the Nuts
"I want to see that hand" This is the rule where anybody can request to see a called hand at showdown. |

Re: What would you do if this happened???
[ QUOTE ]
What would you have done and what's the right ruling? [/ QUOTE ] The hand is live and AK guy can still call, raise or fold if he wants. Most normal poker players would now fold. A ruling in the casino would probably be the same, warn AK guy to protect his hand, and perhaps give you a time out penalty for gross misconduct. |

[/ QUOTE ] well it wasn't a tournament but if it was a timeout penalty would definitely be the right move for me. I just think we need to change the way we peek at everyones cards during hands and just get a little more serious, even though were all good friends and there isn't much money at stake. |
