Re: 2/4 - Top 2 semideep, fun river card
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] nah I think his bets are fine for the reasons stated. I might go like $170 on the turn though. [/ QUOTE ] Ya this hand it is fine. I just meant for his range. Like with his line he will have to fold As9s to a turn push. But this doesnt matter at 2/4 although it is a good habit to get into IMO. [/ QUOTE ] Overpushing the turn just so we can protect against the flush draw is bad poker. An overpush gets value from one possible hand that we beat (AK). Why not make my bet that gets called by Kx and many Qx's, and then get called by them all on rag rivers since he thinks I'm bluffing my missed draw? WAY more value to be had that way. |

Re: 2/4 - Top 2 semideep, fun river card
I think you misunderstood me I meant if you had As9s or some other draw (which would be common on this board) on the turn instead of KQ, you're gonna be folding the turn a lot more with your line (either c/f or b/f).
Your line is prob better for this hand (KQ) but I think I like something different for an entire range. |
