CAterp, what betsize do you like on the river, i hate betting less than half the pot, but do you really think betting 50 as opposed to 80 increases the small chance that villian will bluff?

if he's smart he knows we never have a full house but i still doubt a 28/12 is that smart or would attempt a bluff here.

50 probably gets called more by one pair hands/retardedly played QQ or whatever.

assuming people arent going to bluff at scary boards like this seems pretty safe

really, i think you need to game select better then. that makes playing pretty tricky and i can def still find games where the fish act like they're supposed to.

we're coming up with bluffing frequencies by how many hands he plays and raises with preflop? ok, im tossing in the white flag, cause i am completely lost here. i dont understand any of this thinking. oh well.

i would say that his preflop stats are at least roughly correlated to the kind of sophistication necessary to seize certain bluffing situations, yes

I don't see the purpose of betting out myself.

Only a retard is paying you off with less than a 10.

Most times if u bet u will get called if you are splitting or losing the pot.

At least a check call has a chance of getting a bluff off a missed flush draw or a some overpair or something.

We don't lose any value here because as i said no one calls without a straight minumum anyway.

JAM,
the problem with checking is that it allows the villian to play his hand perfectly. he can bet all the hands that beat us and also his bluffs. all of his mid strength hands like top pair, and 2 pair he will check behind. when we check and he checks behind with 2 pair, we've missed value. and when we check and he bets we're forced to guess if he has a boat or if he has air. put yourself in spots where the villian is forced to guess, not you.

c/c is horrific (unless he bets something really small - then it's a split alot).

I think b/f > c/f
