Hehe, well, my current bankroll is at 350$, so is spending 50$ of those worth it? I do believe my brother is using it, so I could transfer it over, unless I need a paid license. How exactly is that working?

When it's folded to me in the SB I like to make a small raise (normally about 3 BB) with any hand I feel is worth playing. I do this so I don't distinguish between different hands and to give the bb a chance to fold.
