I like your river push. It's that or half pot.

I have seen 17013 overbet the river, when playing the board like this.

I don't think you have the same image though.

I think you're losing value. Only a 9x hand will call. All sets, 2-pairs, and 1-pairs probably fold.

Just value bet 3/4 pot to get those hands to look you up and hope that he raises with a 9x hand.

lol, did you read the hand? the board plays. shove is fine, but probably a little over much. 3/4 pot people call looking to split. 9's will raise and you can get it AI.

def shove

contrary to what my esteemed colleagues are saying, many players will not raise a 9 if you bet

I think you get a ton of calls from total air in this situation.

I would have bet smaller...but the overbet isn't a bad move. If I was the villan, I would be thinking you were trying to steal the pot (fold equity) when you knew we would chop. Villan has a hand or he wouldn't have called turn bet...why not hope he is a bluff catcher & overbet the pot?

(I'm getting better at laying them down, but I have a tendency to call in these type hands on occassion.)

really? why is that? because i think you get more value than a shove that is 2x the pot?
