Have you ever played live poker?

Playing at a live game/tourney with the same people for even less than an hour will give you better reads/ideas on their play than PT and PAHUD ever could in an online game.

ActionJeff can see neon VPIP/PFR stats floating above his live opponents heads.

I'm not allowed to tell you how, but I will hint that bananas are involved.

While I agree with that there are people out there that for some reason are either unable to focus on hands played when they are not in the hand or have a hard time recalling previous hands to help them in a current hand... The atmosphere in a casino is quite different then sitting in front of your computer where you can controll your surroundings to help you focus better. My best suggestion to help your reads on others is to work on your memory through various little mind games that are out there and if your attention span is not that great to bring headphones or something that will help you focus without having your mind wander...Oddly enough as it sounds my problem with focus only applies when playing online as I am able to find many more distractions at home.

Classify everyone at the table as one of either:

A Jackal (crazy and unpredictable)
An Elephant (plays too many hands)
A Mouse (plays very conservatively)
A Lion (skilled and tough to beat)

Best system I ever heard of. Works every time.

[/ QUOTE ]

But what if you're at a table with an Eagle. You forgot to mention the Eagles. This man needs to be informed.

Given how slow live poker is, I'm sure you could sit there with a notepad, and record every hand and compile it at breaks on a computer then print it out.

I'm sure its a huge waste of time, but I'm also sure it could be done given that you have like 2minutes /hand.
