Against a pair of king, the dead ace reduces your equity from 83% to 81% (even if you kill both other aces you are still 78% to win). Against JTs it reduces it from 78% to 77%. Set over set is just not that common. the dead ace is an incentive to get it all in before the flop if you can as it increases your negative implied odds - not a reason to fold. was not a cash game, it was in the noon tourney.
