more than 1% of people download that stuff 'cause they don't realise that they're stealing.

They probably are, but if there's one thing that Twoplustwo, a company that makes its money from publishing and selling books, does not allow in its forums it is advice on how to steal such and similar works.

Anyone that gives it will be banned.

So 42% of people are just stupid? Sounds a little low in my estimation of society.. but most of them know what they are doing is illegal.

i'm fairly confident that if you asked people "Do you think that stealing is wrong?"

a) You would include people who know what they are doing is wrong

b) You would include people who are unaware that they are stealing

I suspect that the percentage of people who answer "Yes" to that question will be well over 90%. I'm willing to concede that 99% was an exaggeration.

Cardrunners is ridiculously overpriced, they're really robbing us, but I don't recommend stealing it. If you have some friends you could hang out and watch the videos together. I dunno if CR disapproves of that but if they do they can stuff it, cuz if I order a pay per view or something it's up to me if I want to watch it with friends.

People don't steal for two reasons, risk and morals. Stealing video and music online is very low risk and probably doesn't seem that morally wrong since so many others do it and the victim isn't clear.

you have to be insane if you think cardrunners is overpriced. at least 30 new videos a month, that's less than $1 a video. everyone spends more on coffee, or parking meters, or whatever. plus 400 archived videos, and the commentary is outstanding.

at least to me, saying cardrunners is overpriced is like saying pokertracker isn't worth the money. you must not be playing much poker if you think so, or you must already be a big enough winner that you have already learned everything there is to learn (in which case i would think you wouldn't be bitching about $25 a month).
