i can see that my mistake was not betting the river, then folding to a shove or raise. i just couldnt think of a line to take that would be the most profitable, he cold called all the way through, i didnt think he had trips on the flop because he didnt raise turn when i led. i think the river is where i screwed up, no?

It would be extremely helpful if you had any sort of read. Checking the river definitely disguises the strength of your hand somewhat. If you're checking this river, I think it should be with the intention of check/calling. God this is a crappy spot. You guys really think the overbet changes things that much?
