Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
also neel, if it makes you feel better, ssh suggests limping AT from MP in a tight game and from EP in a loose game.
if you have more questions, maybe start a new thread. preflop is not interesting in this hand, but the flop decision is. |

Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
If you knew that the preflop raiser was not going to raise the flop, I think that you could call with your 2 backdoor draws getting 15:1 or possibly more.
However, the preflop raiser generally seems tight and was not iso raising this hand. He could call if he had overcards, but I think the chance that he raises with a premium pair spoil your odds. |

Someone linked me to this recently: http://www.notedpokerauthority.com/l...y-answers.html
[ QUOTE ] 16. Three players limp, and you have ATo in the cutoff. Call. I think calling and raising are close here, but calling is probably slightly better. You probably do have an edge preflop, so by calling you are giving up some money. But I think your edge is modest… and the advantage of having someone bet into you if you flop a ten is very significant. I think you should clearly raise AJo, and clearly not raise A9o… ATo is on the border. If you wanted to argue for a raise, I wouldn’t put up much of a fight. I would if you wanted to fold, though… [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
Xhad pwns.
It's a shame, but you can probably fold. If I'm live, I would really be watching the preflop raiser (and others behind) to see if I could get some kind of indication as to whether or not he is planning on raising the flop. If you could be relativly sure you could see a turn for one bet, you can take one off. If you are going to have to call two bets, you have been really pwned. |

Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
Hero folds AINEC. Your relative position sucks, stuck between the flop bettor on your immediate right and the PFR on your immediate left who's probably not raising crap.
If you had the gutshot right here right now, it's an easier call even with the potential for the PFR raising. But since you've only got backdoor draws happening, you're going to have to pay at least 1.5 BB to get there, with the possibility of being stuck for a whole lot more. Furthermore, the kind of turn cards that help you will likely help others at the table, so not only do you have Flop Donker and Preflop Raiser to worry about, you may face a surprise turn check/raise from a limper with KT if a Q comes off on the turn. |

Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
Fold. About 2-3 outs. Pretty big risk to be raised.

Re: Two backdoor draws in a big big pot
Has anyone thought about the ace as a potential out?

[ QUOTE ]
Has anyone thought about the ace as a potential out? [/ QUOTE ] The preflop raiser has been playing a very tight game in general . . . I don't think the ace is an out that often. And when it is, it sets up a redraw to Broadway if you hit two pair. |
