I was under the impression the twoplustwo forums are a place players go to help eachother and discuss things. Not fire off sarcastic BS remarks and plug poker tracker to anyone that doesnt play 300-600 on fulltilt.... what a joke.. [/ QUOTE ] no, actually it is exactly such a place. But if you can filter trough it you will get some great advice from time to time. You probably have the same ego problems like 98% of the poker players I have seen here and thats the problem you need to work on.. |

Re: My Game is a MESS - HELP
I have played about 40 hours since this post. Bad play was a big factor in my results due to tilting. At first controlling the tilt was exhausting all most, its like i had to bite my tongue. But after playing good cards over and over for hours and hours I still managed to come out ahead regardless of bad runs of cards or bad beats. That damn temper of mine...
And I am not just talking donkey tilt. I was dealing with both steam bet type initial tilt paired up turning into a traumatized passive tight player for the rest of the game. Changing my rhythm was what was getting me in the end. By the time it would be getting close to quitting time I would become aggressive again and get my money in with good hands...hence breaking even the last hour after playing for 5... |

Re: My Game is a MESS - HELP
Well, it's not the number of pots won, it the amount of cash won. I was in Binions one Saturday night last year, played for 6 hours - the typically Sat night/Sun morn egotistical drunken allin fest no-foldem crowd. Bought into 1/2NL for 500. Realising it was pointless trying to play any type of proper game, I sat and waited, won three pots and left 1100 up.
It may not be a style of poker which is hip and TV-like but it paid off. |
