Why don't they put ads on poker sites

the ad revenue would be nothing compared to rake revenue. if they put up ads and reduced ther ake by 1c/hand, they'd almost certainly lose money.

How did onnline poker sites decided their rake? Theoretically they could have raked the same as live rooms and people wouldn't have complained beacause most people didn't (and still don't) live near live poker rooms. I wasn't around pre moneymaker, where the rakes always what they are now?
