hand 2: fold turn ui

[/ QUOTE ]

getting 10:1 + some implied odds. prob not reverse dominated w/no other paint cards out there. passive player behind us not likely to raise. possibility that bettor has worse A or AK. meh on turn fold.

Q: if turn was not a T but paired a small card (like a 3) then we're still folding?

*grunch*

I hate hand one, preflop and flop is strong but we have to slow down to the 4th heart. With that action I can put villian possibly on 2pair or better as he is firing into you once 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]s hit. Whatever you were ahead of on the flop you certainly are not ahead of now. River is a fold TWIWIP as there is a [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] that is higher than 3 out there.

Hand 2 is worth a call and we can fold UI on the turn, i wouldn't get crazy w/ 3 other players in there. HU, maybe 3 handed i might make a play there but not worth it 4 handed.

Hand2: I would have raised the flop and take it from there.

why

Big pot, want to maximize winning chance. We may have the best hand, we may be able to get to show down more cheaply. This is unlikely, but since the pot is big it's woth it IMO. Also I doubt MP would lead a huge hand like a set into us of fear of blowing the field out.

Given the pf action, how often will we have less than 6 outs on the turn?

i think this board is as good as any (sans paired small card boards) for an overcard draw given proper odds.

the T on the turn kinda sucks (TT is possible) but i'd prob still call.

Meh....I think you can call also i just don't think that if an A falls your getting any more action, maybe 1 bet on the call but that's debatable. I would hate to have to put 3 bets in on the river with your AK that has come in as I would certainly raise once villian bets. If villian c/c his hand, then we're only getting one on the river catch. For those reasons I'd rather just give it up and pound him on a future hand. But it might be marginal for a call, i just wouldn't do it.

assuming passsive opponent behind us calls, why would you raise a rivered A or K?

Wha? Why wouldn't you raise your made hand and let original better call and possibly get 2 bets from passive villian on a crier. Call stations do that also ya know.

My thinking is based on the SSHE section on going for overcalls.

Basically, though, like you said, i'd rather not get 3 bet, and i want to make sure worse hands call on the river.

I dont think fear of getting 3 bet on the river is a good reason for folding the turn though. Being afraid of reverse domination is one thing...I can understand that (less so on this board, but if thats your opinion power to ya). But i dunno about the former argument.

I think you'll get a better discussion just posting one hand. It's hard to follow with two or more. Just pick one or the other and post it. Then maybe tomorrow post the other one.
