Re: This decision made me tank Full Tilt $75. GB2005 range?
I think i fold, were a big dog to his range. Also if the Cutoff is good, he could be flatting with a huge hand as well, Were getting really good odds so its tempting, but i wouldnt gamble here, because one of those three have JJ+.

[ QUOTE ] I think I'd give him JJ+/AK, which has you crushed in relation to the pot odds you are getting here. [/ QUOTE ] TT is exacty 2-1 vs that range. Pot has ~26K when it gets to GB, and effective he adds 35K to me. If all others fold, I'm getting 1.75 -1, so while I am behind, its not crushed vis'a'vi the pot odds. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I can't download PokerStove at work, so I'm blindly guessing at the range Well, if you are only getting 1.75:1 to call and you are 2:1 against JJ+/AK and only one opponent, it's a fold. However, if you factor in one other player calling, that makes your odds 2.75:1, but also decreases your equity as one of the other players would make the call/push with a very tight range (QQ+/AK perhaps). Would the OR or CO call with a bigger range than this, since he would be getting 2.75:1? How does TT fare vs. 1) JJ+/AK and 2) QQ+/AK ??? If you have better than 27.3% equity, the call is correct (assuming these ranges are correct) |

Re: This decision made me tank Full Tilt $75. GB2005 range?
Very interesting situation. So, no reads on UTG at all? Without any FE, I side with Barry on this one... It almost looks like his raise was specifically sized to cover you, which then leads me to the thought that his hand might not be that great (a true squeeze) and he is hoping to scare you out. I guess I err on the conservative side, but I am very tempted to think this a fancy move with a hand that you beat.

Re: This decision made me tank Full Tilt $75. GB2005 range?
this is a funny hand cuz the tighter his range is the more you should call, (note if you think this 10s and 2s very similar value). Or his range is very wide and obv this is an easy shove. I think his range is somewhere in between which makes this a fold I think he has 99+ AQs+ AKo.

Re: This decision made me tank Full Tilt $75. GB2005 range?
Just fold TT to an UTG raise and a reraise. If the reraiser doesn't have you dominated, the raiser could. You don't have FE, so easy fold.

As per BarryLyndon's request:
I tank and call off the rest of my chips. Like was mentioned in the thread, his raise looked like he didn't want me involved with a pair and wanted the others to fold, so I called. I was shown QQ and the door. I think its closer than some think due to the 18K in potentially dead money, but a SB raise over a UTG raise is usually pretty strong, but with an M of 4 I'm not sure if I can fold if I end up in the same spot again..... Thanks all for the thoughts. Regards, Woodguy |
