I think you have to bet 1/2 to 3/4 of pot.
The reason is because you said he is a good player and you put in a really big raise. He has to think you have a High Pocket pair (or unlikely but possible AK). With KK's, and QQ's you'd have to bet this flop so also do it with AA. Without an Ace in his hand, he won't give you any action unless he hits a flush. If he has an Ace and you bet it, maybe you'll get lucky and he calls. Whenever you are in doubt in a situation like this, you are always better off betting. |

quads, sets, straights, flushes, straight flushes I am always going to bet in these spots
Scare cards that shut villian down or cards that let him catch up are always hitting on later streets and you have to start getting the money in somewhere. May as well be now |
