try sending Gelford, the resident unlimidonk, a PM. I haven't seen him post in a couple weeks but he made the nl>lhe transition not too long ago and could give you some good advice

I'm here all right ... and well yeah

I have no idea of how you play as an NL player, but if you are a nit, then this game will kill you.

In generel there are only a few big bets at stake when you play a hand, so all the hammer of future bets is non existant .... thus relentness valuebetting is what caused me the most problems ... all the NL habits of checkcalling rivers with marginal hands etc are not the way to go here.

But no hammer of future bets, that is the key adjustment from NL

do you play for money? cuz you'll be making more at nl50 than 1/2 and probably 2/4 (not taking into account bonuses/rakeback) and with less heartache.

also take into account that the limit learning curve is pretty steep and it can be a long time before you find your game; and it can even be a longer time before getting the luck necessary to start making money because the rake is high and the edges are small.

Ya. If you win in NL I dont really see why you would wanna change. Since you can play more tables nitting it up at NL you can prolly make the same hourly at NL200 as you can at 10/20.

But if you insist on joining us with on rollercoaster rides I would advice to read and post in forum a LOT. There are some really good poker players posting on a regular basis here

Posters you should look for

Ilovepoker
Stellarwind
Entity
jba
Heisenberg
MilesDyson

These guys are all excellent poker players as far as I know and they will explain themselves very well.

Other really solid posters are

jstill
Sethypooh
McGuyV
Sharpie
vmacosta
TheHip (tho he is way to tight preflop )

plenty of other good posters as well. keep an eye out for MHSH regs when they come slumming with us

if you're just looking for a change of pace I'd recommend trying out a non-holdem game.

Well, I'm balance then because I have a Macroed "Fold, you're never good here."
