Nope, Yale. Yeah, I never actually used the term in a social setting because I quickly realized how taboo it was. I did hear some of the athletes use it amongst themselves, though.

I've heard gay people use the word "gay" pejoratively several times. It's like black people using the n-word: it's only ok when they do it.

This is exactly what I did. Weird. I think most people get to a certain age and realize how stupid they sound referring to everything as gay.

lame works, but I've been using two new terms to replace gay
#1 - krank
#2 - jerky

krank is very common for anything thats not "cool", jerky is standard for something off-color

For Example:

sharing an umbrella w/another man - krank
barry bonds - krank

Brian from Family Guy - jerky
will ferrell - jerky

I stopped using the word "gay" as a negative description a long, long, time ago. I do, however, call people "co(ksuckers" a lot, especially while driving. This is also the time when I still use the word "retard". In fact, I've probably called someone a retarded co(ksucker sometime in the last 72 hours while driving.
