most salads are fine. I don't worry about low fat/diet salad dressing. i mean, you're eating salad for gods sake.
i had a catalina omlet the other day that is simply egg whites, turkey, spinach, mushrooms, and tomatoes. it was quite possibly the healthiest thing i've ever eaten. |

i mean you're eating something that is low fat anyway, getting some fat in the dressing isn't a horrible thing. it adds some balance to the meal. many dressings, while being high in fat, are high in the good kind of fat.

[/ QUOTE ] Well, if you are having a pat ot two of butter with a large serving of broccoli, then yes, it is pretty much the same thing...even though butter has a lot more saturated fat than low fat dressing. |

Re: what are the best healthy meals to eat while out?
Probably Asian food, especially Japanese and Vietnamese. Usually very light on sauces, good clean food. You can eat a good amount without feeling weighed down, unless you really go to town on the rice. Things like a stick or two of yakitori is an ideal snack.
Chinese food is often gloppy and overcooked and has very high calorie sauces, plus is often fried, so you have to pick and choose more carefully. |
