Columbo, I'm not understanding how you've found something to be the best strategy, yet are breakeven after 20k events

Wow, these are juicy! Very few pots go to showdown so there is less variance than a typical SNG. I just started playing these, anyone have general strategy?

less variance than a typical SNG? You've got to be kidding.

HU SNG's have the most variance out of any game online. I have played about 20,000 of these (not kidding), and the variance is brutal. I am, unfortunately addicted to these things. After rake, I am only a slight winner, and I also tilt easy in them after losing.

[/ QUOTE ]

The variance should be essentially the same as flipping a slighly biased coin, which is lower than the variance of a SNG.

If you're only a slight winner at these, you're doing something (or many things) horribly wrong. My opponents usually have to get hit by the deck hard to beat me.

[/ QUOTE ]

my win % is around 70%. I just suck at managing my BR, so i could win 8/10 matches but still be even for the day.

Are you talking about HU ring games? If you go 8/10, you should be way up at any level of these.

Then what you say makes no sense. 8/10 should net you somewhere between 5-6 buyins after rake.

you must have missed the part where I explained this. I have TERRIBLE bankroll management. So I might win 8 out of 8 $20s then lose a $100 and lose a $50. Therefore, I won 8/10 put remained break-even.

Okay so in 20k HU SNGs you have consistently crushed low limits and consistently been crushed at slightly higher limits? I'm still not getting this :/
