Not saying that's not possible as cousins but I thought they were nephew/uncle. Plus Paddy's father died in the past year or two, it led to an emotional Ryder Cup moment IIRC, and that would have been Dan's brother.

[/ QUOTE ] Its pretty easy to have a big age gap in first cousins. I'm 28 and my youngest cousin is 2, oldest is in his 40s.

I heard a story that when Action Dan won the WSOP, he kept lobbying for an even chop at the final table. He said a 9-way split was enough so that each one of them could invest it and become rich. Even as he was knocking people out, he kept offering (if not lobbying for) the split. Nobody bit, and he just rolled them up. So, until further notice, I go with Dan.

Dan said a few years ago on ESPN that they are cousins. He didn't specify which order of cousins, though. He was talking about how he called his mom after he won the million and she was more proud about his cousin Padraig doing well on the golf tour.
