Re: (109 speed) 5-handed, facing two all-ins with 77
Ballpark #'s are...
Fold - 25% Call + win - 39% Lose to B - 15.3% Lose to SB - 18%, 22.7% So the EV of calling is about... 25.6% This assumes the 36/34/30 win distribution and a 55/45 win against the button in case the SB wins. So yeah call. Tiger - It is scary that you know what ranges I'm using. |

What about if I lose to both? Unlikely, I know, but might happen?

That is figured in. The lose to B and the smaller of the lose to SB are the times you finish last.

Re: (109 speed) 5-handed, facing two all-ins with 77
Am I missing something here? This looks like a clear fold. You would call this if you are desperate... but why would you want to go up against two people who most likely have at least 3 overcards against you? Chances are you are going to lose this hand, sure the payoff is huge, but you don't really need it seeing as how you are not desperate...

Ah.. I see. Interesting. It's close as I suspected, but if it's really +0.6%, I probably can't pass that up.

Re: (109 speed) 5-handed, facing two all-ins with 77
Bah, okay I see what happened.....trying to gorilla math while at work. Right, so I like call now given your ranges as it likely gives a small but somewhat significant edge. However to be fair I'd want to run the numbers again when your opponents' are at their tightest. I'm not positive the SB will be as loose as you think even with 5xBB.

Re: (109 speed) 5-handed, facing two all-ins with 77
He means equities Yugo. Pokerstove has it at about that, 36.051%/33.473%/30.477% given ranges of
B: 22+,A2s+,K8s+,Q9s+,J8s+,T8s+,98s,A4o+,K9o+,QTo+,JT o,T9o SB: 44+,A4s+,KTs+,QJs,A5o+,KTo+ Which are quite reasonable. |

Re: (109 speed) 5-handed, facing two all-ins with 77
I would fold, especially as I think the SB will be tighter than the range you give. Also you can surmise a lot if the SB called very quickly. You almost always have to think for a bit with A6o if you think thats a call. |
