Didnt most of these guys join with Zappa? I have to imagine they have enough money to not want to do this for 10k.

I read their contract that people have to sign:

I'm thinking that it might cost more than 10k

An email has been sent by the other party involved in the bet to someone in The Turtles camp. The specifications are that they are to play a 90 minute set on an outdoor stage with between 100-200 people in attendance in Long Island. Transportation and housing for the band and labor costs for crew are not going to be factored into the bet.

Also, i read an account somewhere that the Rolling Stones and Celine Dion both get millions of dollars for private shows. Obviously The Turtles arent the Stones, and don't sell ou the Meadowlands, but i still really like my end of the bet.

I think the over on $10,000 is a good bet, but I would be surprised if it ran to the $50,000 you mentioned in the original post. Maybe since you specified a crowd of 200 and an outdoor stage...

as an under on this bet, I am going to require that you negotiate with them and not just take their first offer.

BILL BELLAMY $20,000 Generally Available

I really can't imagine a conversation where you tell Bill Bellamy you'll give him $18,000 and he says no.
