Re: AK hand vs other big stack Stars $25K ...okay deep gamble or overplay
[ QUOTE ]
mayesie...calling was not an option and I think I knew I very little or no FE...It was a call or fold spot and I figured the value of a really deep stack was worth it to me if I could win the race [/ QUOTE ] I didn't intend to make it sound as if calling was an option (I apologize if that's the case). I agree 100% this is shove-or-fold. I won't debate your decision to shove, as it has merit: - There's alot of money in the pot - You have more fold-equity here than you might believe I simply wanted to demonstrate that folding here also has some upside. |

Re: AK hand vs other big stack Stars $25K ...okay deep gamble or overplay
Maysie...no problem...did consider folding but I just didn't feel like he had AA or KK and at that point I had to decide whether I wanted to gamble or not...leaning towards Adams response which is shoving rather than reraising (stack sizes were odd for my 4 bet)...If I instapush his reraise does he consider folding 1010-QQ?

Re: AK hand vs other big stack Stars $25K ...okay deep gamble or overplay
There is SOME merit to raising to 3000. Some players, like Adam, interpret it as a game of chicken and you're being retarted and they'll come over the top (instead of folding to a push). Others will interpret it as AA/KK trying to get a call for the flop. You just aren't going to know, it's the internet, so pushing is the best default line here.
