my thought process was it's blind on blind, my ATSB was 36%, and a king was a large part of his range (or whatever crap people call down with in BvB.

if i had checked turn and a fourth heart came on the river, i suspect then most of you would have told me to bet turn, no?

That's the way I'd play with no knowledge on opponent. I would assume AT LEAST 2 pair, not the nuts, but enough to beat you.
And only call river if bet is small enough. This is not a hand to be aggressive with, don't lose all your money with A, 7 on that board.

Not stacking off with a7 is logical, but assuming your opponent has atleast 2 pair is still weaktight IMO.

That's poker. If you check the turn and 4th heart comes on river than there's nothing you can do.

I play a tight game, but I don't play a weak one. I know when I'm beat. There is a chance he is bluffing * We have no info on opponent* but there is a better chance he has us beat. Fold.

I don't think it loses value, maybe it's the way I play. I do play tight, but you're definately not getting the pot odds on this, and you are more than likely beat already. I check here, check river. If I take a small pot on this hand than so be it, better than losing a big hand.
