Re: Bellagio/Wynn only reliable 4/8 games in vegas?
Orleans should have 4/8 regularly.
In May Bally's and Mirage both had 4/8. |

Re: Bellagio/Wynn only reliable 4/8 games in vegas?
Mirage does not spread 4/8. They spread 3/6 and 6/12. AFAIK, they have not spread 4/8 in several years.
Ballys rarely spreads it. They are mainly a 2/4 and 1/2NL house. On the weekend, Ballys sometimes gets a 3/6 or 4/8 going, but it is not a standard spread. Same goes for Bally's ellusive 2/5 game. |

[ QUOTE ]
MGM has 4/8 and not 3/6 now? Or they still regularly spread 3/6 but just decide to occasionally get a 4/8 going with enough interest? [/ QUOTE ] Does anybody know the answer to this? I haven't been to MGM since I moved up to 8/16, but I do like to to play there when I am drinking and wondering if they do 4/8 or 3/6. I know OP says stations are too nitty, but the 4/8 at Red Rock is really good, just as good as Wynn after about 6:00 PM based on many many hours at both. The recent rake increase sucks though. |

Re: Bellagio/Wynn only reliable 4/8 games in vegas?
When I was playing at MGM July 3-8, they were regularly spreading 2/4 and 4/8. 3/6 was sometimes just a list of interest and sometimes was live, but even then was usually just 1 table of 3/6. The Gold Coast was also spreading a 4/8 (in addition to the 2/4 and 1/2NL) and I'm pretty sure that the Palms had a 4/8 going too, but don't quote me on that.

My bad, LVM, I must have been playing 3/6 at Mirage then.

Mandalay Bay had a 4/8 limit game with $1/$2 blinds a few years ago. I am not sure if they still have it.

Re: Bellagio/Wynn only reliable 4/8 games in vegas?
Rio does 4/8 as their entry limit game. But they don't always have one going--it's not uncommon to find 4 NL2/5 games and 0 limit games going in the room. But usually during reasonably prime times there's one or two 4/8 tables.

Is there such a thing as a tough 4/8 game? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. Show up at Wynn, Venetian, et al midweek at 10 a.m. You'll find cranky housewives grinding out the mortgage payment. [ QUOTE ] I know some may not be optimal, but they should all be weak and beatable. [/ QUOTE ] No. |

[/ QUOTE ] Small mortgage payments FTW!! To those who mentioned MGM's 4/8. They're normal spread is 2/4 and 3/6 and sometimes 4/8 with enough interest. Why they do this is beyond me and only kills off all the games and sends players to 2/4. RR and TT will know what I mean about running too many limits so close together. MGM used to run 2/4, 3/6, 4/8, 6/12, 10/20 all right together. Amazingly enough, 2/4 and 3/6 are about the only things going anymore. |
