no no, trade veteoing sucks.
the best way is to join leagues that will be intact next year, that have a heavy loser tax, and to throw out guys who do this. our league pays out places 1-3, and then 4 pays, 5 pays more than 4, 6 more than 5, etc. for every point back of 1st you end up, you pay more. |

The best solution is to make a message board post AND send e-mails AND make phone calls to the league letting them know about the deal. If there is not a huge outcry, there is not much you can do. Then give it your best shot to win and hope they pay if you do. No matter what happens, don't play with them again. I'd probably cut them out of your life completely if possible, because this is some of the most blatant cheating I've ever seen. If they'll cheat like this in fantasy baseball, they'll sleep with your girl, steal from you...etc. [/ QUOTE ] honestly, even if you cut them out of your life they can still do these things. in fact they're probably more likely to do this stuff for revenge. sooo... you should probably kill them, their families, and possibly their creditors. cause the world could always use less creditors. |

no no, trade veteoing sucks [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. It sounds trite, but the key is to not be in leagues where the guys you play with will do this crap. |

I'm in a league where guys will kneeejerk vote against ANY trade. Even something as mundane as a backup kicker for another backup kicker to cover a bye week will get multiple rejections, just because that's the default vote for so many of these guys. The solutions for these issues are either a completely impartial, objective, knowledgeable and benign commissioner, a system that punishes last place finishers, or a maybe a system that limits trade rejections (though even this could run into problems). |
