This seems like a push out of frustration, fold to the minraise, this bluff will not work nearly often enough for it to be profitable. He's comitted with most of the hands he's doing this with.

actually this was a push because i tried putting a hand range on him, and realized that his hand range couldnt be as strong as mine due to pf action, and realized that this is likely to be a rando bluff or a weak hand that won't want to call the shove.

turns out, it was both a rando bluff AND a weak hand...

and it called and then he berated me haha

If you were deeper, I could maybe start to like this, but he's gonna be gettin like 4 to 1 (my math is bad). He has already commited 700 to this pot, and a guy who takes this awful line doesnt strike me as a player that would fold much.

the fact that he called twice makes this significantly better than if it was against the PFR, in which case it would be hella-spew.

But i'm not sure i'm convinced its a good idea, unless you have reads that he's on a random pocket pair most of the time.

I think most minraises here are to induce a shove, not to be able to fold to one.
