Well, if you choose Gibraltar, knowing Spanish wont be a big deal since it is an British territory and most everyone spoke English there. You could even buy stuff in GBP.

Keep in mind this was six years ago, so a few things mightve changed.

I travel to Spain all the time. I've encountered a lot of people that speak some english. Plus there are plenty of people from other parts of Europe that live there and speak english. My parents also don't speak a word of Spanish and manage to do just fine when they go there.
