Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
[ QUOTE ]
Why is a raise to 200 absurd? [/ QUOTE ] Because we have the #1 texas holdem hand and while globloads of action isn't desirable, we wouldn't mind a little. |

Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
in a $4 i'd probably felt this, but get much higher and i think that your line is ok. i mean seriously, you have only invested 80 and its hard to think you are ahead with this many callers
and pf is great |

Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
200 is not absurd if u play these tournies u get alot of action people dont fold pre in these. They will bust ur aa after they call a 200 chip raise wit 79 and then tell u man its only 4 bucks lol

[ QUOTE ] that early the preflop raise is too small. Even UTG you could make that 200 and get the 1 or 2 callers you want rather than half the table. IMO [/ QUOTE ] lol [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
pf raise is just right. and you definetly have to raise that flop to about 450 or something and call push. that fold is sooo bad

Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
Raise as much as you think you can a still get a call. 200 is good at this point (very early in 4/180).
Heck, even open-shoving wouldn't be bad here IMO. |

Re: Stars $4/180 - 3rd hand AA
I obv would have sucked out seeing the full hand, but 2 players (as expected) flopped the straight, and another for 2 pair. I was obvioulsy WAY behind on the flop.
Raising to 200 preflop is STUPID and unnecessary here. The flop is really the only point of discussion. Either way, just a bad hand altogether. |

wow i see why i never post in this forum, you don't even know if you are getting good advice or not, or whoever giving you advice has any good results at all. raising 200 pre is so so so bad and there's like 4 people agreeing with it. sigh.
