Go into your PT database and try and find more than 3 times where you've won a big (200BB+) pot that resulted in completing in the small blind with a hand like 76os? Or any hand for that matter where you just completed.

If you play this hand like OP did, then getting a million to 1 odds isn't enough. (No offense intended to OP; I [censored] up every other hand)

The point is: use preflop action to set up your postflop play. Since it will take a miracle flop for several people to pay me off when I'm actually ahead (rare), and I 6 table, there's no reason to get involved with a stupid hand like this. Why should I waste brainpower in a marginal spot when I can simply fold, pick up AQ the next hand, and stack some donk overplaying Ax? It's just preference, and it doesn't matter if you call or fold this preflop.

This is one of the best flops for this hand in terms of getting paid on it (A77 board too obvious to get paid, etc), and it is STILL marginal.

lol at the weak tight nitage fold pf stuff.

lol at flopping possibly one of the best flops for this hand and check folding AND STILL THINKING THAT THIS IS PROFITABLE?!... =(

[/ QUOTE ]

ok, maybe i over-estimated people's abilities or something. i like playing hands that make the nuts, especially with good odd multi way. I agree that this flop was pretty good but it's also not quite good enough- very border line. And I prob should have led the flop in hindsight. Or c/r this bet. So I misplayed it.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is just because you love to "outplay people postflop", and you think "outplaying people postflop" when you are OOP means c/r bluffing a lot.

So, yeah, sure, whatever. Tbh I doubt it matters much whether you call pre-flop or not in this spot, I doubt it matters that this hand "can make the nuts", and I doubt it matters much that you have top pair if you c/r here.

Because there's little to no point in arguing with someone who is convinced beyond any possible doubt that they are right. Especially when they're a dick about it.

Easy complete preflop.

I lead this flop for $5 and go from there. Probably not calling a raise, unless it's a minraise.
