I play 5/10. You can only sit in with $1K. So I leave the rest for 'top ups'.

These are some horrible hands man. I'm sorry but I can't believe they would ALL happen to the same person. The action in those hands of course does not matter. We are talking about a one in a trillion shot here. The only rational explanation is that FTP is somehow rigging the action against you. Cashout immediately and deposit to a better site.

I opened this thread hoping that it would be someone who actually thinks that it's rigged, and not someone joking around. thread delivers.

I really don't know what to do here....but I am tempted to cash my $2K profit and run to the nearest live game.

The problem (and the reason I started online cash game) is because where I live (Scotland) there are no big cash games. Here a big cash game is $60 buy in and it starts about midnight in the poker clubs.

I've played in Amsterdam Holland Casino 2/5 euro, Bellagio and the Crown Casino in Melbourne Oz....I do fine live...either break even, win or lose everything on AA lol. But no stupid mistakes. I pride myself on making good decisions and this downswing makes me doubt my own abilities.

I came 2nd in our home game last night so it's not all bad. I've also cashed at 46% of live tournaments for 2007.

My goal is to get a WSOP ticket and a $5K bankroll to play with. I entered a WSOP $20K live event satelite but it was cancelled. Typical crappy Scottish poker setup. Here a single $500 WSOP sat buy in is like a years worth of buy ins for the donks and they all run for the hills.

I have a gut shot straight, need a 6. Small bet on the turn from villain, I call as it's cheap and may be a pop at the pot with nothing. Turn a blank, another small bet from villain. I call. River a 6. I've made a straight! Great. Villain bets $100 into pot, I re-raise him all in.....he flips over a full boat (he needed the 6 to make a boat).

[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, Full Tilt rigs big draws vs. big hands all the time. That was a gutshot on a paired board, right?

Villain had 56. He had trip 5s before I hit my straight. When the 6 came, it gave him a full boat but it also gave me the straight. I put him on an overpair or trips but not the boat. I mean, he could have had 45?!?! Or A5. He was also a donkey so that could mean K5 too.

I am bemused by the whole FT thing....I see players like BlueOceans winning $5K in one session or $5K over the weekend. Cheeeaat took 3.5K the other day (he also made that AAA88 to take $1200 out of my stack). These guys are regulars...do they lose?

serious answer because I feel sorry for you: from the way you talk about those hands, you are a losing player and bad at poker. cash out, learn the game and reread these posts in six months.

bbv answer: lol cashaments

I have analysed the hand history and it would be difficult to get away from these hands if I played them again.

As Doyle Brunson says : 'You can't worry about the having the absolute nuts all the time'.

I *never* get all my money in unless I'm fairly sure I'm going to win and try to control the pots to keep it small, even if I think I'm in front (just in case I go behind).

There is no problem when I hit a good hand getting the other player to put the maximum money in. When I think I might be beat, even a small possibility, I usually slow it down.

I've done fine in live cash games and have a good live tournament record for 2007. I've yet to be caught on a bluff in a live cash game, a fairly impressive record lol.

So from this I infer that, yes, you were drawing at a gutshot on a paired board?
