Moayer - It's called sunk cost. And I can't believe Billy Beane doesn't understand the concept.

Yeah the Angels did a similar thing by releasing Shea Hillenbrand. You already agreed to pay him the money, but the guy is not gonna play, so just dump him. In Kendall's case he is probably not a bad clubhouse type of guy like Hillenbrand has been labeled.

This Mariners Tigers series should be very good. Seattle takes game one, but the pitching match up was in their favor IMO. They are now ~15 games over .500 I think??

Willits has been an amazing surprise, Kotchman and Kendrick are solid...but I don't really see Orlando Cabrera or Figgins continuing their blistering pace, either...both should come down a little but still contribute mightily. Angels may be content to stick with GA and Rivera at DH...but a big bat wouldn't be a horrible pick-up. Barry Bonds anyone?

I'd really like to know WTF is up with our Cy Young winner. I mean, Lackey and Escobar are damn great, Santana's the new Ramon Ortiz (meaning great one start, horrible the next) and if Weaver stays healthy he's a solid #4. But Bartolo Colon is an enigma. The pen is top notch as always.

The West is the Angels division to lose.

Lock up Ichiro! 90/5.

We keep getting told Adam Jones is coming up soon. Jones should be a big upgrade of both Raul defensively and Vidro offensively.

Chone Figgins hasn't really been 'blistering' at all. In fact, his season up to now has been slightly better than last year, but slightly worse than 2004 and 2005. Or in other words, he's putting up pretty much his usual numbers.

And Willits has been awesome, but I don't see any reason not to think he can't end up with a .300/.400/.350 season, which would be awesome.

Cabrera's the one I'm really worred about. He doesn't walk a whole lot, and his batting average is ridiculously high now. I think he's going to fall back to earth pretty hard.

Sorry, he was great with the Indians.

His Angels career hasn't been worth half the salary they pay him.

I'm a seattle fan, but my gut tells me the A's are gonna make a run at it. Getting Pizza back seems like it will be a huge addition
