Re: Subway lobster sub
[ QUOTE ]
We get lobster "slipper" meat at the restaurant where I work for like 12/lb. How much do they want for it? I'd bet 10 bucks and it has like 3-4 oz of meat in it. [/ QUOTE ] What's slipper meat mean? |

Re: Subway lobster sub

[ QUOTE ] Basically this is what you should be aiming for: Keep it simple A lobster roll is a kind of sandwich filled with lobster meat. A traditional lobster roll contains the cooked meat of a one-pound lobster, tossed with mayonnaise and served on a grilled hot dog bun or similar roll, served so that the opening is on the top rather than on the side. The filling may also contain diced celery and/or scallion, or use drawn butter instead of or in addition to the mayonnaise. The sandwich can also contain lettuce. [/ QUOTE ] A sandwich with a pound of real lobster sounds pretty good. [/ QUOTE ] The meat from a one pound lobster, not a pound of real lobster. |

If there was really a lb of meat on there, I might actually step foot in a subway for the first time in my life. |

Re: Subway lobster sub
Maine McDonald's franchises tried the lobster roll a few years back - some may still have it. F- would not recommend again.
Lobster is great but it's a very unfilling meat IMO. A 1 lb. lobster is a complete joke; basically enough to feed a baby. |
