Re: starting micro stakes??
I started with $.90, ran hot in the beginning (obviously), then when I hit $30 started using 100% proper bankroll management (I was playing .05/.10 Limit).
Now my bankroll is about $27,000 and I play mostly 2/4 NL with some 1/2 3/6 and 5/10. |

Very curious how you did that. I mean, people say it's as easy as tying shoes, but I'm not so sure. |

Is depositing $200 and playing micro (5,10NL) while I use proper bankroll management even worth it or should I just get a job and deposit a large amount to play like 50NL right off the back? ADVICE! [/ QUOTE ] Play live. |

[/ QUOTE ] Here's a post I made when I reached $10k: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...=0#Post10038653 I got the $.90 for free in April 2006 from a small site that probably doesn't exist anymore. I played 1-2 tables back then, sessions would usually be something like 1-3 hours. I played almost entirely Limit until my bankroll reached about $500. Then, I came in second in a donkament for $1000. I withdrew $500 to buy a nice 1600x1200 resolution monitor (Dell 2007FP). Then I decided I wanted to learn NLHE, since that seemed to be where all the money was at. After the UIGEA, I didn't feel like I was really beating the games anymore (I was playing .50/1 NL on FTP at the time with a $5k bankroll). I took a 2 month break or so, then moved down all the way to .05/.10 NL to re-evaluate my game and joined CardRunners (god bless them). That was in February. Since then, I've been able to successfully move up to the limits I'm playing at now, which is primarily 2/4 NL. I play 4-6 tables at a time (usually 4), with sessions being 1-4 hours each (usually 2 1/2). I aim for 800-1000 hands a day. I have played about 230k hands lifetime. It wasn't easy. But I'm 18 years old and have been making over $100 an hour for the past 2 1/2 months since I've moved up to 2/4, which is more than anyone I know my age. EDIT: One sec, let me post some secksy graphs. First database: Second (current) one: |

Re: starting micro stakes??
just start with $50 or a $100 and start at the .01/.02 nl games on stars, learn the game and gradually move up as u reach 15-20 buyins for the next level, if ur just starting out try playing 2-4 tables of 9 player games, do not start at the higher games or ull prolly just spew money

Re: starting micro stakes??
Yeah I would definitely recommend starting low and working your way up, waiting to move up until you feel that you are owning each game you are in.
