Re: Serious Ethics Question,
[ QUOTE ]
Lol , bad joke. You could at least come up with some real dillema (like what to do after agreeing to flip for 5k and then folding). Here you are obviously paying 12k how can it even be a question ? [/ QUOTE ] to be fair it does sound like the kind of situation dean would end up in though... |

Re: Serious Ethics Question,
Since you were sitting right there and didn't say anything until after the hand, you're probably very technically on the hook. Since these guys are your friends I'd assume they'd feel bad enough about taking your 12k here when they all but lost it on purpose that they wouldn't make you pay.
Edit: Without having been there its hard to tell how much you acknowledged/agreed to them playing your money high. If you were well aware they weren't gonna try very hard to win its a different situation. |

Re: Serious Ethics Question,
obviously this is [censored] and didnt happen (although I'd love to see the alleged video). but obviously you owe the money. if he had folded, no way you would have been like "wow, that was the dumbest push ever. I'm not taking any share of the money from that pot because I wouldnt have wanted to pay had we lost."

Re: Serious Ethics Question,
Sounds like you were backing him 100% no risk. That's always a sound investment.
