I suggest just buying another monitor. I bought one for reasons other than poker (loved it when I did play multiple tables though) Comes in handy in tons of situations other than poker. And if you can't really afford a fancy monitor I'm sure you can find someone's old CRT monitor that they'll be willing to part with for practically nothing. Just keep in mind that your video card needs to be able to support 2 if you don't feel like spending a crap load on some PCMCIA adapter.

Just stack em up one on top of the other.
Very easy on the mouse hand and they pop up when action is needed very efficiently on pokerstars anyway. With a little practice and with the hand history window open in the corner you can follow the action nicely.

Go for it. I mostly play four, but maybe once a month, I crank it up and play nine. It's kind of fun, and you do accumulate player points in a hurry. Afterwards, four seems pretty relaxed. Hmmm, maybe I'll do it tonight if I can wade through enough waiting lists [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img].

9 tables would kill me at this stage, although I have been looking to purchase a 24-26" monitor, be a while before I do more than 4 tables though. How much do 24" monitors run these days?

Which is better to handle, playing 2 monitors (8 tables) or playing on 1 monitor, but playing 9 tables. On a side note, I do high a "high tech" video card that allows me to plug in two monitors.

I suspect there will be a lot of (annoying) head movement required with two displays. Perhaps not if you use, say, two times 17-19".
