Re: What\'s My Line Here (66 in BB - 2/4 LHE)?
Thanks for responses, all.
Given the Button's stats (27/16/2.6, even though only after 40 hands), I felt he had a wide enough range to check-raise him to try to get heads up was reasonable. Was this an egregious error? Once the UTG+1 player called 2 cold on the flop, that was the end of it for me and I check-folded the turn. Y'all helped me settle an argument with a friend that said I should have fired another bullet on the turn. |

Flop fold
I just dont care for this C/R line with 66 on this board. Look for a better spot to do this. SS's & Point Blank's points are dead on as in EP calling 2 snowballs I think this hand ends on the turn if you are bet into. |

Fold flop
66 isn't very good with this flop. |

Re: What\'s My Line Here (66 in BB - 2/4 LHE)?
2nd to bottom pair is iffy. I've gotten killed with playing hands like this, this way. I guess it would be a read thing. BTN looks like he is a little loose pf and could have a J that he bet out. After getting raised he just calls because he fears a set, 2 pair or J with a bigger kicker. UTG+1 seems more TP and made an overcall of 2 bets. To me that seems like he might have a set or at least a J.
I guess since you raised pf you might be able to represent a bigger hand. You got 2 callers though, so I think you are in trouble. I don't think that you'll get both callers to fold to a river bet here. I would c/c the river for 1 bet. |

Re: What\'s My Line Here (66 in BB - 2/4 LHE)?
I fold on the flop here with 2 players left to act after me.
If the preflop raiser were on my immediate left and his flop bet folded out players between us I might raise, but his hand range here is big enough that you can't be ahead often enough with so many overcards to your pair that can hurt you on the turn. As played, bet the turn. |

Re: What\'s My Line Here (66 in BB - 2/4 LHE)?
Thinking more about it, maybe Aces McGee's point about this being a good spot for C/R on this rbow flop might be good. I think I was influenced by UTG1's calling of 2 cold. He can have several hands. Good Jack, bad Jack,(Billy Jack,) etc. Putting a player on a range of hands is probably better than just assuming he has a J for sure.
