I have this happen once in a while to me, when I sense I'm not going to get to sleep, I get up and go do something for an hour or two. Thinking about the fact that I'm not sleeping just keeps me awake. If I derail my brain into something else, I can usually get to sleep and relax. Watching a couple episodes of a good show on DVD helps as well.

That said, give benadryl a try. I've been popping bennys since I was like 8 years old off and on. Take two about 30 minutes before you want to sleep and make sure you'll have 8 hours to sleep. A lot of people use those to knock themselves out. You'll likely be a bit groggy in the morning, but that's better than no rest at all.

Beyond that, see a doctor.

Ambien is like the best thing ever invented. I sleep for [censored] and my sleep schedule gets [censored] up every week without fail. One of those little happy pills and half an hour later I'm out for a good six hours. I just found some nyquil and im gonna take a double dose an hour before i plan to sleep.

op I had the same thing last summer on like 3 occasions and I was shaking and [censored]. Anyway tylenol pm is pretty good, take 2 or 3 pills and you should get pretty sleepy fast.

So it seems i should take 2 benedryle, 2 doses of nyquil, and 3 tylenol pm. Is this correct?
