Re: do i cal this reraise all in w kq?
Fold preflop. Shove only if UTG raiser was opening a lot of pots.
Calling the min raise is a huge mistake. You are not deep enough to make this a profitable call. |

Re: do i cal this reraise all in w kq?
Fold pre-flop. You're not so desperate that you have to play such a weak hand against a raise. After the shove you still fold and the pot-odds are not that great. The pots laying you around 1.6 to 1. Even if he's shoving (77+,AT+,KQ) you have 36% equity (1.8 to 1). Unless you are VERY sure he's pulling a squeeze here i would say his range is much tighter than that. Easy fold. Congrats on the suck-out.

after the guy overshoves though its a fold, i mean.. that is why you flat called pre right? so you could fold? [/ QUOTE ] i called to give myself an out postflop or pre if hell broke out behind me yeah it was a poor play on my part. when he shoved i felt he may be stealing and he wasn't necessarily super strong so i thought the pot odds somewhere between 1.5 and 2 to 1 were good enough to call. but thats why i made the post to see how you guys think through a hand. i do ok in tournaments but i think i do some unorthodox stuff sometimes |

Re: do i cal this reraise all in w kq?
I fold to the reraise. UTG showed strength and KQ sucks even with wide ranges.
I also don't like the call of UTGs original raise. While you have position on the raiser, you open yourself up for a squeeze (which of course happened). Either shove or fold there. KQ is hard to play postflop. |

if you read sklansky's forum he says to speculate w a marginal hand when u have that awkward stack bc if u miss the flop then u can just shove next quality hand you pick up. [/ QUOTE ] I don't agree with the "if you miss" idea because it seems spewy, but at least you have plan for the hand. The problem with this plan is that even when you hit your hand is susceptible to being dominated. I'd be more apt to try this with 89s instead. |

Re: do i cal this reraise all in w kq?
The BB is only at 300... why waste your tourney life on KQo? (I wouldn't even call if they were suited) You could be up against AA, KK, QQ, AK, AQ which you don't want to go up against...
Pick another fight when you have an edge... |

Re: do i cal this reraise all in w kq?
Fold PF. Min-raises stink of big hands from weak players. Oh, and the all-in re-raise too. You're dominated almost everytime here.
